‘Biggest terrorist plot’ EVER to target Iran has been foiled with co-ordinated bombing campaign planned across the country


Iranian Ministry of Security announced , Monday, foiling what they described as “the biggest terrorist plot,” which was targeting the capital Tehran and several other Iranian provinces during the month of Ramadan.

The Iranian news agency “IRNA”  quoted from the ministry as “aborted one of the largest plots of terrorist Wahhabi groups which were planning to planting a number of bombs in Tehran and other provinces.”

The statement added that during these operations  terrorists who planned to strike numerous centers in the country at religious special events have been arrested ,  were also confiscated a number of bombs which were ready to explode, and large quantities of explosive materials.

The ministry noted in its statement,  that investigations were under way with the terrorists who have been arrested.

The secretary of the Supreme National Security Council in Iran, Admiral Ali Shamkhani detected thwart terrorist suicide attacks which had been planned to be implemented in Tehran during Ramadan.

Shamkhani revealed the arrest of persons planners of these operations, and stressed that his country is able to detect and foil the moves dubious everywhere in geography thanks to popular participation and institutions concerned with extensive experience.
