ISIS claim responsibility for Berlin Christmas truck crash – Video, Photo

At least 12 people were killed and 48 others injured when a stolen truck was driven into a busy Christmas market in the German capital on Monday evening.

Police have revealed they are treating the incident as a presumed terror attack and they believe the driver intentionally drove into the crowds.

Now the Iraqi Popular Mobilisation Force have revealed ISIS may have claimed credit for the horrific ordeal.

It is understood this “intelligence” is based on tweets from jihadi social media accounts the IPMF tracks.

A IPMF spokesman tweeted: “Breaking ISIS use truck to plow into civilians shopping for Christmas in Berlin, Germany(sic).”

Some media sources – including the Washington Times – have taken this as a sign the alleged attack on Berlin was ISIS related.

But authorities have not confirmed these claims and there is no further evidence the murderous regime are involved.

The director of the jihadi news outlet, SITE Intelligence Group, Rita Katz has also denied the death cult has claimed responsibility.

Katz tweeted: “Reports that ISIS has claimed responsibility for Berlin attack are false. No such claim as of yet.”

The lorry, which was registered in Poland, is believed to have been stolen from a building site in Berlin on Monday, according to police.

Police have arrested the suspected HGV driver – but it is understood the truck’s passenger died at the scene.

Terrified witnesses said victims were lying wounded on the ground alongside pools of blood.

German police have warned residents to “stay in their homes” on Twitter.

Hotels are also on lockdown in the immediate area.

This horrific ordeal follows an ISIS-related attack in July where a Tunisian-born driver drove a 19-tonne lorry through crowds celebrating Bastille Day in Nice.

The murderous regime later claimed the driver – who killed 86 people – had been one of their followers.

Europe has been in on high alert after it was revealed a senior ISIS figure had called jihadis to target Christmas celebrations.

It comes after the death cult released a sick guide urging their brainwashed killers to use lorries to maximise deaths.
