Over 160 Dubai schools to be inspected

Dubai: A total of 166 private schools will be inspected by Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai in the latest cycle of school inspections, which started last week.
Now in its 10th cycle, the inspections include seven new schools that will undergo inspections for the first time.

Fatima Bel Rehif, CEO of Dubai School Inspection Bureau, said: “Inspections are an important tool that allow schools to improve the quality of education they offer.”

She added: “After nine years of inspections in Dubai, we have seen an increase in the number of students attending schools that are judged to be good or better. The adoption of UAE School Inspection Framework has allowed us to unify our efforts towards achieving UAE National Agenda goals.”
This year, the school inspections will place a special emphasis on UAE National Agenda, social studies, innovation, Emirati students, moral education and special education needs. Schools will be evaluated in line with performance standards and performance indicators detailed in the UAE School Inspection Framework.

She added: “School inspectors are committed to provide accurate and reliable evaluation of the quality of education in Dubai’s private schools.”
